I’m admitting upfront that I experienced quite a bit of déjà who… what… where have I read this before, which is why I had to remove a few stars for lack of originality. There was a good dose of constant action, but the plot and story-building have been done more than once in the last couple of years.
There were a few books that came to mind while I was reading Whirl, including Vampire Academy, Half-Blood, and I don’t think I’m stretching too far when I add I am Number Four to the list.
